When I saw your book: “Sarah O’Hara ~ Gift of the Fairy Wings,” I was drawn to it because of the beautiful illustrations, I purchased it and brought it back to our Head Start classrooms along with the “Random acts of Kindness” information for our teachers. As soon as the teachers read the book and made it available to children in the classroom, it became the children’s first choice for story time and choice time. Their excitement over the book kept them engaged in listening and participating in activities about being kind to others. We were so thrilled!
The effects, however, did not end there; we began to notice our children taking extra time to be kind to their classmates and teachers. Parents started commenting about results they were seeing at home with siblings. We immediately began to provide extra information and activities on acts of kindness in our newsletters to assist and support parents in their efforts to extend the activities in the classroom.
This is an AMAZING book with AMAZING results!!!!! I can’t wait for the next one, please stay in touch and let us be the first to know! I can see how this book really can begin to change the world, one child/family at a time. The content is interesting to children and easy to understand. It helps them to see that being kind in the real world is very important to making our world a better place to live.
